Living Room Bay Window Treatment

NEW PHOTOS!

I added a large Chinese Knot
at the top outside of each outer window.

Then I hung a tail or jabot to finish off the look.

A vignette: a table and mirror.

An artistic replication of a zebra along with a vase of peacock feathers atop an antique wool hook rug add a warm touch to the living room.

The living room bay window.

As soon as I paint the other column, we'll have a matching column and vase on the right side of the window.

The walls are painted a lovely soft yellow - not as bright as this picture shows. It's a Behr paint duly named Ripe Wheat.

The bay window is lovely, yet it lets in the sun during the afternoon.
The curtains are made of a beautiful upholstery fabric - a damask - bordered with a waffle-print oatmeal colored fabric.

Rust velvet hangs beneath the sweeping drapes.
The dark rust silk is smocked at the top, with small beads at each cross-point.

Between the valances are safari animal head swag holders: one is a giraffe and the other is an elephant.

The giraffe swag holder. I love it!

My elephant head.
Yes, I spruced up the colors on the elephant to take them from dull tones
to rich golds, reds, and greens.

The valances are covered with rust velvet, trimmed with a beautiful silk trim with balls and feathers.
