MARK'S STUDY: Window Treatment

Mark's study has red cherry wood floors, paneling, bookcases and cabinets.
In order to balance the dark wood tones, we painted the walls an oatmeal color.

The whole room is cozy, so we didn't want to make large window treatments.
So, we played and came up with neat designs.

I bought some burgundy velvet curtain panels, but they were too short
for the window. So . . . since I had bought 3 panels and only needed 2,
I decided to cut one panel and smock it, then insert it into the
other panels. As I smocked, I added beads.

Smocked portion.
