Kreative Kym

Hello. Welcome to my creative side.

I love to sew, bead, work with wool and embellish, draft patterns, and do most anything with fabric, yarn and fiber arts.

Currently, I am learning to embellish with wool and machine wrap cord.

I am also in the process of making window treatments for our home. If you'd like to see them, click on the pix or the links below.

You can view some of my sewing projects here at Kym's Sewing.

That's me in the car. My sisters are on the sides:
Diane on the left, Joy on the right.

I have sewn since I was 4 years old,
and still have the doll I made then.

I think she's beautiful! Her plaid square head.
Her Thai silk body. One arm is missing.
And her different colored legs.
She perches on a shelf in my sewing room,
and presides of my creative pursuits.

My mother taught me the basics of sewing,
provided the tools and supplies, and let me create.

This photo is of my mother and her siblings, along with her parents.
My mother is fourth from the left, front row..

By age 12, I was making most of my clothes.

At 13, I was sewing for some of the Air Force pilots and their wives, and other military personnel .

With Japanese Pattern Making classes under my belt, I love to tweak patterns to create something new and exciting.

Fabric felting with The BabyLock Embellisher
machine is a new adventure for me.

You can view some of my felting here.

In real life I am a writer, author, national speaker,
and mother of eight children.
